Who we are

FindAHome is an independent property advisory run by Rex Lim in Johor, Malaysia. This policy explains how the website findahome.place collects, uses and protects personal data. It applies to every visitor and to enquiries sent through this site.

What we collect

Information you provide: when you use the enquiry form or the chat widget we ask for your name and WhatsApp number, and optionally your budget, purpose and timeline. We also see which project you asked about. We do not collect identity documents, payment details, or any other sensitive data — this site has no online payment.

Usage data and cookies

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors use the site and to measure advertising. Consent Mode v2 keeps advertising and analytics identifiers denied by default; they are only set after you accept on the consent banner, and you can withdraw your choice at any time. The map embeds Google Maps resources when a project page loads.

How we use your data

We use your details to reply to your enquiry on WhatsApp, to prepare the mortgage estimate or chat answers you ask for, and — with your consent — to measure whether our advertising reaches the right people. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and your consent where advertising identifiers are involved.

Who we share it with

Third parties that process data on our behalf: Google LLC (Analytics, Ads, Maps resources), Supabase (a password-protected database that stores your enquiry record), and WhatsApp (only the messages you send us). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept while your request is being handled and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer follow-up questions. You may ask us to delete your record at any time.

Your rights under PDPA

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia, you may request access to and correction of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent or request deletion at any time. To do so, message us on WhatsApp through this site or use the enquiry form.

Children

This site is not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and applicable law change. The date below shows when it was last updated; material changes are noted here.
